Lake Catani on the west side of sawmill where the milling of timber for construction of the Mt. Buffalo Chalet was carried out.

The proprietor was so friendly and took the trouble to show and explain to us the winter sports that will take place on the slope outside..
in winter the slopes will be snow covered and you can do skiing and tobaggan-sliding.
suddenly the sky was overcast...... a bit errie as we drove along ....
but it turn sunny again as we drove further up .. The Catheral Saddle.
Here the winter vegetation of Alpine Ash trees and snow gum forest..

the Horn is the highest point in Mt. Buffalo at 1723 metres.

The panoramic view is beautiful and relaxing. Mother nature is wonderful. I wonder why we don;t have much views like this here.
