Sunday
After months of preparation finally the day has arrived.
Besides baking almost non-stop for more than 8 hours yesterday, I still had to wake up early this morning to assemble the Lemon Meringue Tarts before departing for the venue of the fair.
This beautiful Menu and other placards were all done by one of my classmate, Kate.
All these baked goods have been sponsored by my classmates, they contributed the funds while my classmate, Lin and me did the baking.
Here are my baked goodies for the carnival.....
Caramelized bananas cupcakes with Salted Caramel frosting
classic Red Velvet cupcakes with Cream Cheese frosting
Hokkaido cupcakes which I haven't bake for a long time but surprisingly these were sold off first before the others.
My signature Pineapple tarts of course...
lastly Lemon Meringue Tarts.
my friend baked these Almond Biscotti besides the Chicken Pie and Cream Puffs.
After setting up our booth, I took a walk around the fair and here are just a few of the eye-catching stalls..
Beautiful orchids
the popular otak-otak ...from Muar.
Guangxi stuffed tau foo pok ..... maybe prolonged boiling has caused the meat/fish paste a bit hard but the soup was tasty.
that's one hefty breakfast all day long...
Egg agar-agar.... so creative..
more eggs....its a game...
our TOP sales lady, Kate the one who did all our menu, the price list, get our t-shirts, infact what can we do without her!
She even got these photos together...
St. Marians.
We are happy that the total sales almost doubled the target set.
That is the one of the Dharma teacher for the Kasih Hospice presenting
Certificates of Appreciation to all booths owners and participants.
I also want to mention my classmate Pearl, the manager who is responsible for organising such a wonderful carnival...truly amazing the amount of ground works and of course her wonderful helpers and volunteers as well.
Everybody loves to eat Hokkaido Cup Cakes as they know there is soft filling inside. I am impressed with the Egg Agar Agar too. My apologies for not going there as I was not in KL. God will bless you and your friends for helping out.
