ESTHER'S TRIP TO MELBOURNE - PART 4

Childhood revisited- train ride on the Puffing Billy.

Belgrave - where the trains leave

Puffing Billy is a steam locomotive - see the coals stacked in front.
Feeding the fire -
and working up the steam

With cousins, got the best seats
The mascot doing a quick dance for the camera

Puff, puff, and away we go

Enjoying the cold air

swaying through the forest

 through hills and dales

The adults did not take the train ride as we have done it before.  We waited for them to disembark near the Lake Emerald.  A beautiful clear lake.

Me and my eldest sister. Its the cold winds that give you a headache so cover up your head!

After this we went to Springvale. This is mainly a vietnamese and chinese suburb!

 Dinner at Vietnamese Restaurant

 Vietnamese Spring rolls
Of course, Pho- very big servings and delicious beef stock!
