THURSDAY
Good morning Sydney...
Looking down from the 45th Floor apartment
The rooftop balcony .........
After breakfast, we made our way to Darling Harbour. We walked past many beautiful old buildings...
"The noiseless foot of time steals swiftly by"....
Martin's Place
just to show you the beautiful masonry
The Radisson Blu Hotel ...not the same but reminds me of the Flatiron building in New York.
The General Post Office Building..
The Sydney Tower standing tall behind this row of heritage buildings....
the Strand Arcade is opposite the heritage buildings.
Finally reached Darling Harbour.....
the Queen Mary Cruise at the harbour with the Opera House in the background.
This was the shoreline in 1844 and see how much land they have reclaimed since.
Queen Mary's cruise ship and the Harbour Bridge
Just take one selfie for remembrance...
and another one more....
I am unable to get a nice closeup with my limited photography skill
The Royal Botanical Garden....its their 200th years anniversary
guess how old is this tree ?
which is longer, the harbour bridge or Queen Mary's cruise ship?
Dog at the Rocks
window shopping around the Rocks
Free entry into the museum
the wood canoe of the natives
Argyle stairs connecting to the Harbour Bridge.....we skipped this as we were tired with all the walking.
Hi Elaine, I enjoy taking the tour around Sydney with you.
ReplyDeleteGoodmorning Nancy,
DeleteGlad you enjoyed!
You always took photos that I loved to see! We seem to have same eyes and interests for old historical buildings. Most people preferred to share only modern buildings.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the lovely photos of Sydney. You seem to visit Australia every year!
