LONG WEEKEND -HARI RAYA 2016

6/7/2016

Wedding Decoration..
It was indeed a very long,  long weekend Hari Raya holidays but time really passed so fast and its back to a blue Monday. .Just a recap over the weekend.

1. Had a wonderful meetup with my former aerobics students and instructors for dimsum at the Renaissance Hotel.   Our last meetup was last year after the Chinese New Year! Hopefully we will continue to have more meetup.

2. After the feasting, time to work out and off to the Lake Gardens with my daughter on Sunday morning.... it was still quiet and we had a good time together....

This garden space is new? or perhaps I haven't been here a long time....

Interesting and unusual trees at the Art in Park area...

Her favourite space at the garden.... the playground...

tranquility at the lake...

some of the quiet corners around the lake...

3. Attended my neighbour's son wedding/reception at the Hotel Flamigo Lakeside.   It was a vibrant and magnificent affair immersed with so many cultural rituals and pomp!

the arrival of the blushful bride  ....

We were given these "blessing" for the couple and we all threw these at the prompting of the priest...

May God bless the couple with many happy and wonderful years together...

4.  The one and only baking which I did throughout the 5 days.... hazelnut chocolate swiss roll with peanut butter (as I was too lazy to bother with the chocolate mousse filling).

spread with peanut butter (it was supposed to be a chocolate mousse filling).  I was stressed out as my old fridge have gone "hot".  Anyway it was a good way to clear out the expired food items and I never  felt so wasteful!! Lesson learnt... no hoarding, buy what is necessary.

Lastly Sarah treated me to the Dpac for this choir.... a group of fervent and talented young singers .. bravo!

  1. Hey I also went to Lake Gardens during the long weekend to show my Penang friends. They loved it and took over 100 family photos!

I always found the Indian weddings as very colourful and nice.
