Till death do us part....

I attended the wedding ceremony of my relative's daughter at the Full Gospel Assembly Church at Jalan Kuchai Lama last weekend.  Church wedding is a  emotional ceremony both for the newly wedded as well as the parents, but it is not a bad thing.  At least the parents get the chance to hear from their child how much they appreciate them and thank them for the love shown.  I don't think it is a everyday affair that the child hugs and kisses the parents and tell them "I love you and thank you".  No doubt these young people nowadays may be more demonstrative but they don't utter these words all the time, rather more often its "leave me alone".

Ok, back to the wedding, the reception area was gaily decorated.

Thank you gift of chocolate chips cookie- just right as we were did not have our breakfast yet.

Must be their favourite game when they were small.

Pre-wedding photographs for viewing.

Entrance to the church sanctuary.

FGA building was formerly a cinema and the seats though must have been upholstered, the layout remains the same as in the former cinema- heard that the services here are always full.

The service was very well planned and went without a hitch.

Waiting for the bride to come in. Bridegroom (in grey suit) with all his best men.
Here comes the bride ...

The father and the bride

The exchange of vows - the bride and the  groom wrote their vows. Listening to them being so earnest and poetic really moves me to tears- happy tears that is- pray that they will fulfilled their vows to each other throughout their life.

Here comes the new  Mr and Mrs Tan.
After the ceremony we were treated to a buffet lunch at the church premises.
In the evening we went for the wedding dinner held at Sime Darby Convention centre.

Pre-dinner cocktails outside the Grand ballroom

The stage in the grand ballroom.
The food served were pretty normal wedding dinner fare.

The bride and groom leading the first dance.

The bridal entourage then joined in a dance presentation.

The dinner ended just past 10pm. God bless them.
